Fixing Up an Old Chandelier

I need help from you, my crafty friends. I saw this vintage chandelier hanging in a friend's kitchen eating area when they first moved in and said, "when you replace this light, I'll take it". So a year later or so, I got a message; "it's yours if you want it, come and get it". I did. It's not as shiny gold as the picture and shows lots of age. It needs an overhaul. I'm not sure if I want to put it in my closet, my dining room, or my back porch. So, my question to you is should I paint it gold, bronze, silver or what?

What a fun find to play with! Curious to see how you transform it!

OMG dude. I am late to this party, but some kind of bright candy color would be amazing on the gold parts! Like turq on the top circle piece and hot pink on the bottom circle piece... Or just one pop color on the whole thing.
